What's weird is if you view the Audi 80 link in Firefox, there are more images than there are in IE8.

Because Microsoft still can't conform to the web standards other browsers follow. Even though they punted the idea of standards in the future [:s] .

Forget IE (all versions) and use Firefox. It's free, more secure and updated regularly.

Heads had a 058 number on it,
Dont know were they came from

Over the years there was a rule that an engine could be used from the same manufacturer
    ( or group ? ) , as long it was recognisable as ( partnr/logo)

Homologations is one thing, but then one manufacturer his car is 3 cm to short to be allowed and here start the politics between Manufacturers and the FIA
In the beginning everyone is within the rules and in the end the rulebook is rewritten.by all sort separate documentsthat are not always available to all involved.

There's a a little bit of Golf kit car about the noise, but it's got a deeper grunt to it.

    Great sound!

    From page 2:

HPR kindly send through these pics - the first one is Audi, but is clearly different from the one pictured above - so maybe there are 2 versions?

Lehmann by comparison, which tallies up with Goetan's Mk3 parts haul, pictured on the p0rn thread here:

Just going back through the thread again, a couple of pics now of the knock sensors on all 4 cylinders - lots of visible spot-facing machine work to install these. Assume they're just tapped threads, to provide mounting points for sensors?

Compared with a standard 20v AEB, showing just the two sensors, mounted further down:

    Injector part numbers look like B 280 431 178 or 128

Looks to be another number below, really hard to see. 04 255 934 at a total guess.

Some pics posted by fthaimike on the porn thread:

Third one down has NNE part no prefix, so that's definite.

Last pic clearly shows narrower cam lobes.

Some fecking grand piccys in the last few posts. Louis's find is brilliant. Especially the body parts, and exhaust off. Shots that others seem to ignore, jusy going for motors and brakes.

Lots of ideas for the stripped out 90 in there. Surprised at the rear doors not just being welded up though. Regs.?[:s]

Chris, your last photo is making my neck ache![:x]

Turn the computer screen on it's side

I'm surprised I have to help engineers with such simple solutions

    See thread title :)
