Brake disc weights

    The other thing to consider is, that the overall weight is only half the picture, the 2pc is slightly deceptive as although the weight is comparable, where the weight is positioned in relation to its axis, The heavy bit is at the outside of its diameter, and further out than a 280, this means it has a greater moment of inertia, so it will still take more energy to both accelerate it, turn it and stop it. I have 15" rd pro race 1.2's with r888 and 16" superleggeras with ao48r that are very similar in weight with the tyre mounted, the oz's clear the brembo 305's, just!!

    looks like either a combination of the grooves, wear, and corrosion have shaved 0.13kg off your G60 disc there Bryn :lol:
