What did you tell them? mine was half that and they only asked for engine size, what was the type of cover you went for? was it motorsport?

That was competition based cover. Might have to call them back and ask for road only? I thought that was the whole point of getting an MSA license though?

Mine covers me on the road for a 'comp car' - it does not cover at any comps (private roads) etc... maybe give them a ring back.

Just called them back. Yep, competition car for road use only. Still over 100 more expensive than HIC.

REIS wouldnt beat the quotes i had. Just said, congratulations on getting a lower quote elsewhere.

Brentacre also just basically couldnt be bothered to make any effort to be competitive enough to get my business on a 2nd car either, even though im already insured with them.

Its not in use at the mo and they want to see the sorn declaration so i suspect that helps with the price. The Ddebit bumps the price up a bit but the it did with Brentacre too.

Disappointed like you with Brentacre, when i went with them to begin with they seamed brilliant but now with the both of us in the same boat ...

I didnt mind using Brentacre if they were only very marginally more expensive, as they allow you to make free additional modifications to the cars policy (apart from address/registration) for free. But when there is a vast difference. :(

Managed to get third party cover for me & my dad for 580

If it was just my dad it would be 211 (Old git) so i put it up 300ish.
Also covered my trailer for an extra 75:thumbup:
