Anyone fancy a mini-CGTI meet / group MTB ride?

I know a load of us are out there most weekends getting amongst it, and thought now the show season is over and a lot of dubs are getting tucked up for winter we might fancy a group ride (I'm refrained from using 'ride-out' as I'm told it makes people think of 40+ yank harley riders going for a ride).

I count Brechfa / Afan / CwmCarn as my local trails and know them really well, be happy to 'show people around', but travel about riding too so i'm easy.

I'm not very fit and I'm no Steve Peat on the downs ether.

I would love too but i am recovering from an injury and wont be back on the bike for a while. If you end up doing this after the new year then hopefully ill be back in the saddle! I would not mind poping back over to my old stomping ground of Afan.

PeeJay, I am really into my MTB'ing.
Drop me a line with some details. I am more than happy to lob the bike in the car and come over, have been meaning to get back to Wales for some time for some serious MTB'ing.

Cool, so we've got 1 yes, 1 once he's healed and 2 as soon as they get bikes.

    Nowt but snagging now!

I'm actually NOT riding this weekend, shamefull, but we're having a day on the new Afan 4X track the weekend after, I'll report back.

    Count me in.

Love to get out on my bike but the only trouble is that i'm in Scotland - plenty biking here but a bit too far from Wales! I have read about Wales and it's meant to be the dogs for MTB'ing.

Here's where we were a few weekends ago, just come down from the big rock - then my mate gets 2 flats within 5 mins (haha..)

I am part of the Scotland crew.

Cannondale hardtail was my first proper bike when I was 16, but now got a Santa Cruz chameleon which I built up from a framset. I've also recently purchased a Trek EX8 as an early birthday present to myself.

Away to Glentress this weekend for the first time. Hopefully heading up to Aviemore before the year is out as well.

I would possibly consider a trip to Wales next year. Never been!

How much did you have to pay at the end of the 12 months scheme to buy the bike outright Karl? Trying to get an idea.

Its usually the fair 2nd hand price of the bike - price you paid in rental over the period.

The rules have just changed, it's used to be loosely enforced and "fair market value" which in the RBS 3-year scheme meant a nominal 1.

But it's 25% after 12 months now which really dents the value of the C2W scheme.
