Cold air induction on mk2 some ideas I have

    That was a MK4 Golf 1.8T airbox.
    It is a bit bulky for a MK2 I would suggest.

    yeah i trimmed the heck out of my AGU one to get it in and avoid the gear selector etc... so essentially its a dead box now. Just seeking that factory look

    I was thinking of modding a vwr induction set up on mine, there are several models so case of choosing best option, I know it's more expensive way but imo it's the best looking

    coming back to this nearly a year later.. i have been looking about to see what other choices i might have in relation to an OEM looking airbox.
    The mk4 airbox looks nice from the top but fowl underneath and needs drastic cutting making it essentially useless for heat soak.

    i wonder if plastic welding a flat piece on the under side would work, although it wouldn't leave a huge space for air.

    no real examples of an oem airbox on a mk2 20v which is a shame
