De-badged Mk3 Grill

look up a few posts mate!

 

did a search on this and the old forum. Didnt really find out what i was after tho. I've never sprayed anything before and just wanna know if halfords paint will be ok for a grille. And weather i'd need to prime it.

 

LOL ... I meant in this thread!

Rub it down lightly with about 400 wet n dry to take the shine off
the surface.
Give it a 2 or 3 coats of primer then when its dry lightly smooth
the surface with some fine wet n dry.
give it several coats of the base (colour) building it up with light
even coats... give it 10 mins between each coat and then give it
a couple of coats of laquer (dont rub the base coat down first)
Leave it about a week to fully harden then polish with some
cutting compound followed by a good wax.

Just take your time with it is the best advise

 

oh and Halfords will have the paint but the stuff from VW is
better IMO
