, stock bore 7.95 mm, autotech 9.77 mm, gain of 30ft.lbs and even better with stage 2. accelerates faster between 3-5 revs. The only bad thing is this plunger replaces the stock pump and slots into the stock housing. The apr fuel pump is a whole unit but twice the price at nearly 800 fitted. This was on the box it came in, Read this!- Thank you for purchasing Autotechs high volume output fuel pump kit for 2.0T VW and Audi engine applications, our part #10.127.100k. This kit is designed to provide up to 50% greater fuel volume than the standard factory fuel pump. In order to drive this additional fuel volume under the basic laws of physics it will take up to 50% proportionally more pressure to drive the pump. The pump is driven by a lobe on the factory intake camshaft which in turn drives the fuel pump piston through a follower. The pressure exerted on the cam lobe can be up to 50% greater than the standard application. Both VW and Audi have issued factory Technical Service Bulletins regarding abnormal camshaft wear and failure with the standard stock factory installed fuel pump. Both companies have issued corrective actions which include replacing the factory stock camshaft with a new camshaft that has improved surface hardened fuel pump lobes. The part number for this new camshaft is 06F.109.101B and is available at any VW or Audi dealer. Before proceeding with the installation of Autotechs high volume fuel pump kit, it is imperative that the installer check for wear on the existing camshaft and follower. If worn, the camshaft must replaced. If not worn, it will be necessary to identify which camshaft you have in your engine by looking at the part number etched in the cam between the lobes for the number 2 and number 3 cylinders. The old style (less hardened cam) is marked with part #06F.109.101A. Those customers who have the old style cam should strongly consider changing to the new cam part #06F.109.101B. Regardless of which camshaft you are using, Autotech cannot guarantee that your camshafts fuel pump lobe will not experience increased wear leading to a catastrophic failure. All customers who choose to use Autotechs high volume fuel pump must accept the additional risk of camshaft failure. It is incumbent upon the customer to check for wear of the camshaft and follower on a regular basis and replace those parts as necessary as a preventive measure against future failure. To be able to enjoy the benefits of this part it is necessary for the customer to accept responsibility for wear and tear on other related parts as mentioned above on their vehicle. Antotech, therefore will not accept any warranty or merchantability claims for camshaft and/or follower failures or any damage as a result of those failures for this product. The customer agrees to accept all risk when using this product.
that more or less covering theirselves I have no idea how many 2 L TFSI owners would know how to check camshaft wear! good idea for getting around the tuning limitations of this engine.
going s3 pump aswell. i have a late gti that has had the uprated pump cam obes etc and doesn't really suffer from fuel cuts as bad as the earlier engine. S3/ed30 injectors flow 13% more fuel, so i've been informed, hence the need for the larger pump.
I'm told Edition 30 cams have a bigger lobe, and can partly make up the gain seen on non-Ed 30 cams c/w Autotech pump, via the standard pump. How much was the Autotech pump? Don't APR do one too?
JBS did mine at the same time they developed their stage 2+ code on my car. last time I looked the upgrade was just over 700 for the map and the pump. The pump is around 3-400 on its own, depending on who you buy it from. APR's HPFP is a full, ready assembled pump rather than Autotech's internal upgrade parts approach. They beleive it gives a more sustainable quality product as there can obviously be variations in technical skills when building the Autotech one up for fitment.
Thanks. Whilst it's not everyone's answer, it's worth pricing up Edition 30 cams, as they are cheaper, albeit the labour to fit might strip off the saving.

Edition 30 intercooler is the same as the gti one. Cupra r runs S3 spec intercooler. Later spec gti's have had the cam issues resolved hence no need for a fuel pump upto stage 2. Interestingly the rocco TFSI is different again! lighter block, K04 style turbo set up etc.
