What you need is a crossflow head apparently!

 

it's the mapping and tuning that is the most important aspect. and the most expensive part

 

I am due another car after xmas so I have been thinking about the same sort of project as this and if i can pick up a cheap enough 8v mk2 i will give it a try but i will only be using it on track.I am currently using the proposed donor car as i have killed my second Golf Gti {so theere is a boring family estate on the way hence the reason for a track only car}

I have a Golf td donor car and various bits and pieces {intercooler etc}, i will post results and the inevitable problems as and when.
