thats fine.....a little low if on full boost....normally ours run around 950oC to around 1000oC I would not go any higher than 1050oC or will start melting spark plugs and valves etc....hope this helps...
If it is over 1050 then the mixture will be to lean....lob some more juice in and give it another run...
oh another thing what duty are your injectors running?....I would not run them over 80% as this gets dangerous.....

Had 20Vt for a few years now..IHI'd for last 3
melting IHI's seems to be too common a practice tho at the mo.. so I need some more gauging to see whats happening.
I knew hardcore moved but did'nt know where to.. been years since I was on there.. will have a closer look now. Cheers for that.

egt gauges are the nuts, help with mapping too, a wide band probe would also help, depends if its mapped well enough

got crude a/f gauge coming for in-car "keep an eye on it" and also will get myself a nice wideband. EGT sensor will go on new motor build.

As for mapping I hope its ok as its been running like this for a long time trouble free.

Are the VDO egt/pyrometers any good? thinking of fitting one for when I up the boost on the GTD, along with a 3 bar VDO boost guage, the type that only measures boost, rather than one the measures vac and boost.

I did.. inaccurate I know but I am only looking for in-car indicator... read or green type readings. Previously I have used em for tell tale running issues.

Wideband for sure for sensible readings, but I am trying to do this cheap for in-car at the moment.. Wideband has been identified for purchase when funds permit.

So temp wise.. 1000'C or less then?

Have a look for Zeitronix ZT-2 Wideband, you can add boost and EGT senders to it so it provides all the info you need on a nice compact display, I`m well chuffed with mine.

just wear shorts and use your left leg.

Think it took a week to come, not long at all. The box of tricks is tiny, and the display is a nice size. They use an adaptor cable from the Bosch Sensor connector with a phone plug end (rj45?) so passing the sensor wire through the bulkhead is painless.

Plus if you haven`t got dataloging sorted already, it`ll log all the inputs via a laptop.
