Sound, might just have to soak it boiling water to soften it up lol.

    Hi mate,

Went to fit the metering head boot and there is nowhere to put breather pipe which is connected to the black valve to the back of the airbox.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

yes the pre/post 90 breather and over-run valve connections do differ depending where you put things and which car the airbox came from. for the 90spec the over-run comes off the bottom of the rubber boot and directly down to the rear of the airbox, pre-90 it comes off the plastic pipe instead. both years the breather is on the passenger side of the airbox though. if you have a mk1 airbox there is no over-run valve connection and breather is on the back when fitted to the driver side chassis leg

    Hi mate,

I'm thinking of ordering this metering head boot one and making the front breather bigger to fit my over run valve pipe. Do you think that will create any issue?

    Thanks Screenshot_20230112-100142_eBay.jpg

The plastic pipe between the metering head rubber boot and the throttle rubber boot. The 90spec one has the overrun valve connection on the bottom of it

    Hi mate,

    Sorry to keep bothering you.

Got into the car yesterday the battery was flat and notice that the instrument cluster leds were constantly on. I'm thinking that since I've plugged the headlights back in its knackered the headlight switch.

    Thanks

Just trying to figure out what has drained the battery as it is pretty much new and thought it must be the switch.

Well I got it running yesterday and flicked the headlight switch on and the engine stalled, thought it must be the voltage drawing to the headlights

    Hi mate,

Got it all charged up everything working fine thanks.

    Just a couple of things.

When pulling off in first it really kangaroos, am right in saying the clutch cable needs to correctly adjusted.

Also really struggling with getting the right metering head boot. The one I ordered is to small the metering head I have is 12.5cm diameter. It seems different size to the rest of them.
    Thanks mate

could be the cable, you should have around 10mm of free play at the box end

that sounds fine to me, whats the part number on the boot you have
