Here is a photo of the engine bay. The car is stripped down at present in the garage as I am restoring it to new standard. The car has only covered 75000 miles with full VAG service history. It has a full Zender bodykit, Zender grill with the 4 x 7" lights (not shown in photo), Zender 3 piece spoiler and Zender Turbo alloys.

They made 1250 1600cc versions for France called the 16s.This is number 1794 made for the German market it is a 1.8, they called this the 1800E/16. It was ordered May 1983 at the AutoHaus Heinen Volkswagon, Audi and Porsche dealership in Dussiedorf, in right hand drive and then imported to the UK in October 1983.

Yes it came with and has 7x15 ATS cups. But I managed to get a set of the 7x15 Zender Turbo's so I have the best of both worlds.

Hi Louis. I cant wait to take it to a meeting. It might be some time [:^(] as it is going to a restoration specialist, so I'm saving like crazy at present and collecting all the new bits I need. The engine and chassis are like new but it has had no body attention in it's 21 year life. The lacquer is peeling off and it is corroded under the body kit. So I've got all new genuine VAG panels to go on her. [:D]. I'm trying to find out how many other Oettinger 16 valves there are in the UK. I know the odd one pops up in Germany.
