im planning on using the cable clutch mechanism when fitting the 02A gearbox with the 20v turbo lump so i don't need the hydraulic system.

Can i modify my mk2 pedal box to accept the fly-by-wire throttle as im using the OE engine management? (audi)

    thanx

Why use that crappy cable clutch linkage thing??

Jus do it properly and fit the hydraulic clutch, the lightness and smoothness of the clutch goes a wee bit to make up for the crapness of the cable change

Well the cable adapter thing is clearly a cost/design compromise.

If cable were so good how come all the new cars have hydraulic clutch's?? ;)

You dont even need a raddo for one - any old passat, they are so simple to get why compromise on it.....

You can use a cable if you use the cable and quadrant from a SEAT with the 02A

That's all I did - Use a Passat peddlebox and welded the bracket to the side of it to bolt the FBW throttle peddle.

I went for the hydraulic clutch option. As Andy said the cable operated clutch option on the 02A is less than highly rated although is can be done using early Passat or SEAT parts I believe.

its just that you have said you used a mk2 pedal box.

ps: i think i will use the hydraulic option, thanx lads!! does the 22mm master cyclinder come with an output for the clutch?
