Cost of switching back to dual wipers is the cost of getting the left-hand drive wiper mechanism out of an early MK2 at a scrap yard. No more than ten quid or so. Ensure you get the wiper arms with it as well. Stick an advert up on here and Edition38. Someone must be breaking an early MK2. I am not sure what year they introduced RHD wipers on RHD cars, though I am sure I saw a relatively late MK2 - say D registration or something - with the LHD wipers.

Changing the mechanisms over is very easy, although you'll probably find yourself removing the ECU and a few bits from the scuttle area before you get the mechanism out. Getting the mechanism in and out of where it should be can be frustrating. It's not hard, just fiddly.

I've been told that a piece thats been removed that houses the left hand wiper will have to be sourced and then welded into it's old position before the two wipers can be replaced.
Thats where the cost is I guess [:s]

Well spotted D11BBA, it is a very rare zender grille with all 4 headlights the same size. I have the orignal ed1 grille in the loft.

Super bright when high beam is on
