Had a ****full of ruddy carbs

    in the winter the carb shouldnt get any cold air at all, the warm air flap in the std airbox will be shut almost all of the time. You wont get any cold air in the summer with a bolt on either, all it will get is nice heated air from the engine bay, bolt on filters are rubbish basically ;)

    If you want your car to perform well in all weathers, the OEM airbox is the way to go. This is still true even with injection cars, in almost all cases the bolt on replacment filters will actually reduce performance. If you go to alot of effort to seal the filter from warm engine air improvements can be made, but you could just leave the std airbox on to save alot of time and money :lol:

    Find youself the proper webber airbox mount kit then the std airbox will fit properly, either replace the strutbrace with one that fits properly or dont bother with it at all.

    which is why i bought an airbox off a scrapper on saturday :)
    even found brand new insulated warm air pipe on the shelf in my garage ! score
