Who has this kind of set up?

I just wired up mine and I quite like it because I don't like the radio.

Basically what I have wired is iPod through an RCA into a 4 channel amp which I have my speakers wired up to.

The amp is nicely concealed under my passenger seat and the wires under the carpet, it also confuses car thieves who won't see a radio to steal.

    Pics coming soon.

Never really thought about it tbh - can only see it being much use with an Ipod and the safety side of it you stated.

I like my 5-live on the way home tho...

Well you can fit an FM transmitter in somewhere which I'll probably do somewhere down the line, I got sick of the radio a while back though so I'm pretty happy with my system. I just need something to cover the damn hole in my dash. Might stick an old tape deck in and leave it unplugged or something.

Or I could just yank one out from the scrappy for a quid, whichever I can be bothered to first.

Thing is, I'd rather have a cubby hole.

I've had this for a while now, little amp in the glovebox running 2 mids, 2 6x9's and my sub. Fitted it after scumbags stole my TV, DVD, headunit, amp, sub (which they left down the street for me bless 'em), iPod, every CD I ever owned [:^(]... Amongst other things...

There's an extra foglight switch on the dash to switch it on and everything, stealth [8D]

Nice with the fog switch, mine's running so it's turned on when I turn the key.

How's the wiring done on your switch? I'm quite curious about running a switch aswell.

Remote to live with a foglight switch in it, easy.

Just a pain in the **** when I forget to switch it off overnight...[><]

There is that. I'd like to have it on a switch but it still get killed off with the ignition, can't think how, would have to split the wire surely?

could you just run a buzzer like the guide on how to run a buzzer to go off if you leave the headlights/sidelights on a mk2 on.

wired from the interior light-coming off the fag lighter and the headlight loom.

Same as this 99p on e-bay one?

And could I just use one of these tiny amps to power 2 x 13cm speakers?

1990, that set up will work yes.

I think I'm going to relocate my amp to somewhere that it won't be affected by things in the car like passengers. I need to build something that protects it.
