Good day fellow GTI ers

any way this has what i've [strikethrough]brought[/strikethrough] bought

[IMG][/IMG]

the info that went along with the wheels

SET OF FOUR BRAND NEW ALLOY WHEELS

7 & 8 X 15 (STAGGERED FITMENT)

ET 15 / 20

PCD: 4 X 100

Set of four - ALL BRAND NEW

Supplied with part worn 195/50/15 tyres

I'm going to see what the tyres are like but more than likely going to replace.

So finally what would you suggest for rubber!

I am running a 1.8t if that makes any difference

You might find the profile is quite large being 50.

On my BBS's and my previous BBS Ra's, I was running 195 45's which looked great.

Depends how low you go really.

Yeah they will fit, but depending on how low you are they might rub.

lol

Once you receive them, get them fitted and go for a drive to see if they are catching / rubbing.

Worst case you need lower profile wheels. ;)

I would keep the D90's on it ..sorry :(
The offsets on your new rims are not right for a mk2

I agree actually

Btw Lewis, there are a mint set of BBS RM's for sale in the classifieds for a great price. These would be better suited and will be the correct offset. I'm sure you were looking for a set a while ago ?

Wrong, they will fit no problem. Maybe a minor fold of the arch lip if really low, and I'd get some 195/45 on there.

Not wrong look up how offset affects your handling and low offsets look daft ...a minor fold lol ...what arch? Them rims would be better suited to a RWD car

Rms in 7 to 7.5" would suit that car of yours well and they have a factory offset of Et33 for a 6.5" rim :)

Et15 is mad, proper offset for a 8" rim would be et38+ maybe get away with et28 at a push wouldn't be me.
See a lot of golfs with clean rotten arches due to clowns wanting daft wrong wheels on their Golfs to be "Scene"
May aswell go the full hog and fit some Bags and remove your scuttle panel [:o)]
