Sounds like my sisters. BOth work for top firms and earn a mint and they are only 25/23 respectively. As Den says thoh they work their arse off for it. Sometimes doin crazy hours but at the end of the day they chose to do it and are getting paid well so i dont hav sympathy for them when they moan to me - id rather do what they are doing, earning what they do than some of my mates i used to know at the airport who worked 12hr shifts in crap conditions cleaning the toilets for crap pay

    Its all about job satisfaction.

Money should be the secondary concern, after all you spend half your life at work.

Would you live in a house you thought was sh*t ?

    No.

So why work somewhere you dont like ?

    Seems odd to me.

i agree den is not everything but i want to do well for myself i want to have a lovely house with no morgage i want fab cars that arent on finance.

i dont want to dread the thought of the postman coming with more bills to pay.

I want to be as comfortable as i cant be, if i have children i want them to live in a nice place where they can play out with out me wondering where they are or whats happened to them, i want to give them everything they deserve!
i doubt i will have children but if i do i will be secure who wants to struggle throught life worrying abt money!

But if you dont live beyond your means, how much you earn is irrelevant.

The problem a lot of people on low incomes have is that they want to live a lifestyle thats beyond their reach. They whack everything on the plastic and then whinge because they are in debt and poor.

Dont spend more than you f*cking well earn, its simple.

That would be the least of your worries. You'd have to be a proper chavvette.

I started uni in Glasgow, quit at Christmas. Had a couple of years out to save up then started uni again in Manchester. Was older, wiser etc and got much more out of it, the only price being the introduction of fees after I quit Glasgow.
If you're finding it that bad of course you should leave, but only after you've tried everything you could to improve it.

Tell em to eff off. Just get up and go, if you dont turn up they'll kick you out. Seems ridiculous to me.

I'd rather be payed less then spend all my time at work. Whats the point of a high income if you got no time to have fun?

I ex-colleague of mine when told he was fired for being lazy and incompentent turned round to his manager and said, in an a tone of disbelief you cant fire me I went to Oxford that is a direct quote!

Whilst talking to a late 20's graduate working in the media the other day I mentioned that I used to be a mechanic he said well not to worry, youve got out of it now I was just about to explain that on many levels I missed it greatly.
