How much extra, roughly, does a fast road cam make to the insurance.
I am with Brentacare at the mo but due for renewal in 2 weeks?

Im 23, 2 years NCB and 3pts (SP30), good post code.

I got a quote for my MK3 8V GTI from HIC, best they could do for me was 1700 [:s]

With Adrian Flux I pay 872 per year with all mods declared.

Bastards still don't insure Northern Irish drivers....... 27, big crash last month, no NCB and 6 points as of last month - my insurance only went up by 150 or so. Not bad, condsidering I had 5 years NCB, no points, and no accidents before.......and was already paying 700 ish.

i also think they are brill, my insurance company who im with at the mo wont even touch me with the mk2 gti, thats why ive gotta stick with the mk3 for a few more months.
the company who im with deals with quite a few different insurance companies, so after a load of crap with em, they qutoed me 3000!!! [:^(]
    0 ncb
    1 year driving
    0claims
    im 18
so rang adrian flux, they quoted me 1400 :)
then rang hic, told em what adrian flux gave me 1300! [:D]
and then when ive got me years no claims in a few months, and now im 19, i reakon itl be about a grand, which is pretty dam good cause i pay 900 on a mk3 1.4!!
    hmmm, mk3 1.4 or mk2 gti... [:D]

Forgot to mention....my only other gripe with them is the wait you always have when you phone them. Been waiting over 20 mins before!!!
Unless your having a quote or paying them money they'll make you wait for ages [8(]

Thats just like any insurance company though. I have never found any large company that has good customer service.

Yeah but they're good if you don't even intend on claiming. To me, insurance is just a bit of paper that keeps the police happy when I get producers .....

    I'm with HIC,

    26 Yr old
    2.0 16v Mk2
    7 Years NCB
    6 Points
    Never Claimed

320 TPFT, about half the price of the nearest competitor .... :)

Was gonna get my G/F on as a named driver but have phoned 3 times and can never get through, crap service but hey, that's what I expected, I can live with that considering it saved me 300!

Do either HIC or Adrian Flux offer cover for the policy-holder to drive other people's cars 3rd party only with their fully comp policies?

No, I think they do any car policy with TPF&T as well as long as you are 25+.

    Yes HIC do..........

I'm 24 for and currently have a TPFT policy with them which covers me on any car as long as it is registered in someone elses name and has an insurance policy on it.......
