Insurance for 17 year olds on mk2 golf

    No.My son is just 18 and two of his mates are 17 and they are all with FJ.

    Agreed. They insured my Beetle a few years back when I was 19. Used to say 21 on the site but worth ringing up.

    When I bought my 8v I was quoted 2300 which was good at 17 first policy but a year and a half has past restoring it and its now 5300 first policy but 18[:^(]

    I remember I had my standard 1.6 mk2 golf driver insured at 18 with 1 year ncb for about 650. Then when I was 20 with 3 years ncb, with an 8v gti lump in on twin carbs, lowered + loads of other mobs declared, insured for about 400!

    Now I hear from one lad at work that the cheapest quote he can get for himself at 21 on a first car, 1 litre polo would be 2000. On his mums with him as a second driver it's down to 1000. Painful.
