    Am I the only person that likes them on golfs? i really think they suit the style. it's a square car, square lights just look right. i think if i get a mk2 it'll have to have the jetta front on it.

    let the slating commence. [:^(]

    Jetta fronts are utter sh*t. I hate it when someone admires my car and goes on to suggest that I should 'get one of em sets of Jettah lights on it mate'.

    but why? i've never liked the 4 light grill on golfs and can kinda put up with the single lamp setup. i can't understand why the random round lights are so liked by dubbers like yourselves. the rectangle light fits so well with the shape. gives ita more modern look i feel.

    man you're all snobs;) . now i'll put the cat among the pidgeons and say i don;t really like the rally front end. i love the air intakes under the lights (is that whet they are) and i suppose i like the lights. but i think overall the lights are a bit slim. I think it's made worse by light brows, don't know much about the rallye but the brows don;t come standard do they?

    IMO Jetta front ends on Golfs look chavvy and sh*te - screams "I couldn't leave it alone" [:s]

    I think Rallye front ends only look right on Rallyes as well.. suit the chunky arches ;)

    These threads always make me laugh.

    pimpin gimp if you like the Jetta front end, then stick one on, if you like M3 mirrors and neons then go for it. The problem with a lot of people on here is that they cant see past the styling of the last 10 years. Not much has really changed in the VW scene and if anyone should dare to do something that does not "conform" with their norm, then they take the urine out of people for it.

    I bet Richgit got a real slatting when people first saw this two tone black and blue car. But over time, people have come to accept it, and now you rarely hear of anyone sl*gging it off.

    Just remember that it is your car after all, and if your happy with it s0d everyone else.

    Cheers, Jamie

    if its a golf, eg a Mk1 or mk2 then you need round lights! twin or single setup, either way, they have to be round! its what makes it a vw golf! instantly distinguishable

    :lol: If i'm not mistaken, the mk2 Golf was last produced in 1991, that's 14 years ago. Hardly modern. [:^(]

    It's like when people try and fit modern bling chrome rimz :lol:to old cars, they just look 'wrong' IMO.
