If we are going to get a list together of metering head numbers there are also part numbers on the fuel distribution heads too.
Maybe we can get a table made up in a similar fashion to the drive shaft lengths thread.

Application, metering head air flap number, and fuel distribution head number are ones that come to mind at the moment.

It will be tidied Daved. It is all very well you starting a thread, but not getting your hands dirty and putting some figures up here reeks of lazyness. ;)
It is all very well posting links to all over the internet when we could have a very neat table here if people list what they got.

I had the 0 438 100 047 Porsche metering head on my 16v for a bit and it was indeed alloy, it also had a different air metering unit with a different (bigger) than std 16v air bowl. helpfully the part number son it were std 16v ones, so it must have been custom ported :o. They both came out of sparrows motorsporty MK2.

At the very top its 115mm as opposed to 109mm on the std one, and about 4.5cm up from the airflow meter plate its around 108mm as opposed to 105mm (cant get accurate results this 'deep' my digital calipers dont have a long enough nose on them to reach)
The cone profile is quite a bit different too. It looks a very nice job, I didnt even notice it had been fiddled with till I had them next to each other!

Now, do you know any specs from the VWMS airflow meters? I know it isnt a 'proper' one as the airflow cone flap lifty thing is the same as a bog std 16v item, not profiled or anything like the VWMS one.

I have some motorsporty numbers as well:
    B 436 104 574 - metering head
    B 438 122 028 - air meter

    Hi !

You have the right motorsport air flow meter, VWM one is just a standard one with modified cone !

The Bosch motorsport one are not from VWM or for very last evolution that i don't know !

Can you put pictures of the Kjet on the forum ?

    Beetle GTI (a.k.a. 1977 911 Carrera 3.0). 200bhp book figures.
I think some of the early 911 turbos ran Kjet as well, so there should be Kjet setups capable of well over 200bhp. A fair number of these are being converted to Megasquirt and other EFI systems, so they might be obtainable as spares.

Side-mounted airbox (useful for tight spaces?)

6 Cyl fuel distributor (could these be cannibalised and used for uprated 4 cyl cars?

under that Freigabe column you have a figure
for example the xr3i is 10.82

what is it is this ?? control pressure seems a bit high to be that or is it to do with the metering hole in the stainless steel shim in the metering head wich is part of WUR circuit

Thanks to cerips with his table above, it appears there's been some progress in this sea of lazy Neanderthals, to draw together useful information on this thread ;)

Now, the holy grail, is this not?

Note the words in red. This refers to catalyst equipped KE metering heads from Europe, something I suspect our friend here couldn't quite bring himself to admit (unless Porsche/Volvo). More info here & here.

jamesa: with reference to the fuel distribution parts

    Metering head: 0438 120 189
    Fuel distributor: 0438 100 100

I believe both of these parts were originally fitted to the Golf Mk1 GTI 1.8 with the DX engine but I am sure if I am wrong someone will correct me
