I've got an ATC2K Waterproof Action Cam, looking at your test vid I think I was ripped off!

 

Well it's not water proof but I reckon a tight wrap in clingfilm will be OK it's a bit damp out. If it's actually raining I'll just use it in car.

I really really hope mine arrives by saturday the memory cards here, quality looks really good and not just for the money, just good.

 

It's very very quite. Going to try it on the Golf on sunday and boost the sound in iMovie and see how it is.

I went into jessops today, they want 31 for a grade 6 4Gb card!!!

I've got this one coming tomorrow. It's the one with the adaptor as my laptop's got a card reader, so I can plug it straight in.

 

Ordered on wednesday and arrived this morning.
Made a mount using pipe insulation for the mtb.

I havent had much luck with this, my memory card that I bought (the one from amazon in the link) was a dud, not recognised in anything, so Iv had to go out and buy one from a shop today which cost twice as much thou it is a class 8 as I wanted it for monday, but now the camera has broken so it was a waste of money, Ill have to arrange to have the lot sent back but cant take the expensive memory card back as Iv opened it and its working fine.

 

2dubnick, that sucks! You tried the reset button with a pin?

Too wet to try outside the car in the end so bolted a mount to the dashboard.

it was the reset button that broke,lol, so when it crashed it was stuck like that untill it ran out of battery's, good news is I got bored lastnight, took it apart and resoldered the broken reset button, once reset with my new class 8 memory card it works a treat Even had it fixed to the front bumper earlier and went for a spirited drive, came out well and I cant wait to try it tomorrow. Only thing iv noticed now using a class 8 card 20mins uses almost 2gig so need to take a laptop tomo so I can copy stuff over during the day.

 

Mounted mine on the grill today. Had to convert the file as it was nearly 2gb so lost a bit of quality. Here's the result,

I noticed everyone else has the wrond date stamp too, how do you change it? and has anyone got the software to work with windows 7? it won't install.

 

I got the disc running and it was all in what looks like chinese. I very quickly gave up after that

 

That footage on the grill is AWESOME! I'm deffo giving that a go next weekend if it's dry.

How have you mounted that?

 

mk1 valver - nice work. Interesting how the engine noise drops off on a cruise. No background engine at all. Little bit of whistle, but not a biggie.

Stu - Is that the camera that others have bought or a different one?
