Looking to buy this Rallye

    Hi

    I am looking at buying this rallye. Has anyone seen or heard of it before and what do you think of it ?

    be worth getting a garage to look at it, if the engines f**ked it aint gona be cheap to repair

    rhd conversions on rallyes dont have the quick rack (you do know they were only sold left hand drive?) and that one's got corrado headlights.

    Yes I know that they only came in LHD and I am looking for one that has been converted to RHD.

    What is a quick rack ?

    Fits MK1 or MK2 Golf
    MK1 3.1 turns, lock to lock
    MK2 2.9 turns, lock to lock
    Manual, LHD only

    surely if its pretty much a corrado running gear all that wont matter??

    Buy yourself an original LHD Rallye. They will hold there money much more in years to come.

    I would be doubtful if it has a VM Msport G box it would need to be a 6 speed, if it was you are looking at 5k for that alone....

    Is it still 4wd?

    I thought the Rallyes all had leather door cards and Recaro seats? (are those seats Recaro?)

    That car was in the back of THE GOLF september 2001, was done by someone called Allan Fishburn at the Golf Centre in Darlington. It has a 5sp VW Motorsport box brought through Gemini. It was a stolen recovered, engine, gearbox, headlights and wheels stolen.

    bloody hell!!

    now that does sound dodgy now!!!

    So it was stolen and now it has turned back up again!

    It was stolen and RECOVERED with the bits missing (thats why it had a VR6 instead of G60) in about 98 then Mr Fishburn bought it from the insurance company i guess. The Golf Centre 01325 383860..
