Trev, if I were you I`d get it running/drivable on the Digi1 first then let MS take over the fuel, then sparks last. I`ve found the Digi1 ISV control really usefull, would have been harder to get the car daily drivable from cold without it.

Nice to se you`ve got the engine back [:D],not long now eh .

The coolant hose to the radiator fouls the G, I`ve moved the rad over and put a piece of pipe around the hose for protection for the time being but you`ll need to get the ally piece that bolts to the block chopped and welded at a different angle.

Don`t know how other people have done it?

hi there sorry for butting in but i am in the process of building a
2l16vt using a coraddo digi 1 wiring loom. After reading all the
replies on this topic i was wondering how people stand with the
management system. Am i better going from the start with megasquirt or
am i better sticking with the corrado loom and ecu and putting in a SNS
Digi1 chip?? i want something that can be fully tuneable and be
able to work with water injection and water spray for the intercooler.
    any info would be helpfull

    cheers ryan:)

That's damn good going Keith, I took bloody ages to get up and running. That said, most of the time was spent working out what i'd need and how the f... to do it, the actual install was only a couple of days and it was a runner :)

Definitely best to do it one step at a time if you can, if anything it makes troubleshooting a whole lot easier if it doesn't fire up straight away. There is a hell of a lot to take in, and it's very difficult to stop yourself from getting over-excited and rushing straight in instead of going through everything calmly and logically

Hmmm... I confess that I haven't spent much time looking into this, but could the ISV controller unit from a 16V be used?

Trev, the G60 ISV controls the boost as well (well dumps it with severe knock), I think the 16v system would leak boost under load? (could be wrong, the pressure could push the ISV shut?).

As for going MS from the start, I don`t know really, it`s a lot easier to swap 2 wires over to the injectors if you cock the MS mapping up and you need to get going. Mines a daily driver so I had to use the Digi1 as a backup, lus i knew the engine was fine so the only reason it wouldn`t run would be due to the Megasquirt or the person programming it [:$]

It drives a lot better with the MS, done 6 datalogs and MSTweeks so far and off boost is sorted, just got to lean out the boosted section bit by bit `til I hit a constant 12.5:1.

Bit of a steep learning curve but if i can get it going over a few nights of driving/mapping then anyone can!

I'll tell you what Keith, I'm impressed that you've got moving with it so quickly and the results are sounding great. You've given me a lot of motiviation to get off my arse and sort mine out.

I finished putting my Megasquirt together tonight and slapped the stimulator board on it and it worked first time, which is nice. :)

Go on Trev get it in and running ;), what injectors are you using? I`ve got 305cc`s upped to 4bar fuel pressure (works out at 360cc ish). If you haven`t ordered any yet 42lb ones may be a better bet?, or some Ford low impedance jobbies with the flyback board.

I suppose you could send a sheep thought the post, in bits...
