We will soon have pics of the new MK1 golf manifold 8v gti which is very similar to the supersprint but more clearance for the steering gaiter.

We are also looking at making a MK1 golf 16v conversion manifold which is adjustable to suit 1.8 and 2.0 applications.

I have a 1.8Cli and need to change the exhaust but the down pipe is rusted so bad its impossible to seperate it from the exhaust. I am interested in one of these manifolds as I am wanting to fit the Jetex exhaust and thinking about doing a GTi conversion at some point, will the 8v manifold fit my car at the moment? Unfortunately my car is a LHD model :(

    Hi,

I think it will but I could not be 100% sure due to the LHD.

I have bought one of the 16V manifolds and Im struggling to get the flexi joint to seal.

Should the bolts be fully tightened?
Does it require any sealant at all?

Did you get supplied with the correct olive gasket that goes in between?

I bought an abf manifold and Jetex stainless 3 box system for my mk2 a few months back but only got round to fitting it now.

It doesn't seem to want to fit right.

The manifold is rubbing on the bulkhead and it came with a galvanised mild steel reducer effort, not what I was expecting after forking out for a stainless system and manifold.

On top of that the reducer is a very poor fit and is blowing badly, its such a bad fit actually that I don't think it could ever be tightened up.

Why is there even a reducer supplied, why couldn't the manifold be supplied with just the one pipe to go from the manifold to the front box?

I look forward to your reply as its getting rather annoying now tbh!

Rather than posting on here I would say the best thing to do would be give us a ring on 01278 453036 to discuss the issues you are having or e-mail us your number and we will call you. We have sold over 10 of the ABF conversion manifolds and fitted many ourselves with zero fitment issues. The manifold doesen't come with any mild steel reducers, Jetex sometimes supply reducers for fitting to cars with a different bore downpipe. If you could forward us some pics to sales@tsr-performance.com we will take a look.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll take some photos this evening and send them on so you can see what I'm talking about.

I am not sure of the exact length added they end at the same point as our KR one, but we haven't just added length the anles of the pipework is different.

I'm looking for one of the 16v ABF Mk2 exhausts , been told they will be a few weeks until they are available , don't suppose anyone selling one who's not using it ?

Anyone bought one that isn't ready to fit it yet that I can buy it until they have another batch ready ?

one quick query before I fit my tall block manifold..

I have to fit a lambda boss to the link pipe but as it is angled I'm not sure what side to fit it.

does the angled piece angle towards the passenger side?

We normally fit the boss in the manifold before the link pipe.

Hi, new to this forum :) I need a 4 branch down pipe for a 1990 PB engined Mk2 GTI, do you do a 4-2-1 version? Running just over 2ltr, 270 degree cam with headwork.. if there is not much difference in performance I would be happy with your 4-1 arrangement.
    Cheers!
