    Mk1 front engine mount

I also want one of these when available. If a discount is available through a group buy then even better.

Much improved location (fixed) over the standard unit (sliding).

Vibration depends on how you mount the rest of the engine & gearbox.

I would recommend the similar style rear gearbox mount.

Right folks, a successful visit today and it's game on [:*:]

This is the front mount pictured earlier in the thread:

(pics are watermarked as these have a tendency to wander).

Heavy duty mounts, MIGed & TIGed, then zinc coated - made with love in a old school fabrication shop in Great Britain! These used to be made for Geoff Thomas when sold through Autocavan under the Volksport brand (circa year ~2000), various have them including those chiming in on this thread, and incl. the Reeves Mk1. I use them too.

    • Price as stated last night, is 85 + VAT, direct from source
    • Club GTI Group Buy price for 5+, 78.63 + VAT.
    • Delivery 7.34 recorded (UK), making a GB total of 101.70 per unit.
    • Delivery 2 weeks from GB order being placed.
This is a saving of 40-50 on retail.

As jamesa mentioned above, there is also an (020 gearbox) rear mount. This is currently being re-made, having been out of production for a few years, but is not available at this stage. Folk will also be aware of the 02A conversion mounts, but that's outside this GB.

You will simply not get these any cheaper, anywhere else, because this is direct from source. No intermediary involved, no kick backs for myself or anyone else. Don't say we don't work hard for you guys!

What we will ask, is if you are able to take advantage of this GB saving, to please consider joining and supporting Club GTI as a Paid Member if not already. The joining page is here

I've just added a list in the post above. I'm inclined to pick up current interest, give it - what? - 2 weeks? And press the button. All depends on who's in and got cash waiting or waiting on cash.

Exact mechanics of payment TBC, but I'll just aim to keep it straightforward & simple.

Your circumspect, naiive inputs on this forum continue for the upteenth time, without any positive input seen to balance it up. Kindly read around topics (try researching poly engine mounts, pros, cons etc) and start separate "what is?" threads where necessary.

Count me in please, Chris. I would also be interested in a rear mount too in the event they go back into production :)
