the stripes are on the wrong side unles its a left hooker ;) they sould sit inline with the driver so when the car rolls on track the martials know straight away which side the drivers on - nerdy little fact for you.

How hard was the battry to the boot? as i ned to do this in mine to help put some wieght over the back wheels, as its too light back there on low fuel.

I hope we are talking about my Audi and not my Golf?:p ,Audi's great picked it up taxed and tested, drove it 140 miles home at 80-85mph never missed a beat, lent it to a mate who has lost his company car (and job) and he uses it daily and loves it,I think it will make an appearance at Castle Combe let my mates get a taste of track action, without breaking my Golf[:D]

Relocation was easy really, you need a about 3m of battery lead(Red),a earth strap and I used a battery isolator so that battery does not drain whilst not in use as it now needs to push its volts a fair way to the starter, battery tray came off Fleabay, other bits from the Beaulieu Autojumble but I think any Race/Rally place could help you out:)

As for the stripes, they came with it but its only a cheap hack so no worries

Very suitable livery for Le Mans!

How much did it cost you on fuel to get to Le Mans? I have the same engine and carbs, it's probably something I shouldn't really ask...

Do you happen to know what chokes and jet sizes you have fitted?

Also, what rollcage have you got in there?

That's pant-wettingly cool, credit to you!
So lucky with the donors, and the shell work looks first rate.
Colour scheme is one of my all-time faves, my heart stopped when I saw this parked up in the French Alps...

Where did you get the battery tray from mate?

Also keep an eye on it as the weight of mine caused the floor to move up & down slightly over a period of time (think of Rolf Harris & the wobble board) & it cracked the floor, though mine was back a lot further (had nice breather pipe through floor):

Had a metal strap around the middle (not pictured) but probably a hazard so close to rear.

Good stuff! Loving the Gulf colours. Just need to sort the overspray in the scuttle area for it to be spot on! ;)
