Was there ever a write-up about this in Golf+?

Seriously though a lot of money spent here and some 'interesting' touches.

Probably easier to swap the body kit onto another car, but top marks for preservation if you can do it.... Any updates yet?

Been busy working on another mk2 8v recently

This one i have removed all the carpets and mats and carpet cleaned then they came up mint
Door cards had to binned as water had damaged them .

Just been sorting water leaks and trying to get the engine to run , i think it suffering from vintage fuel and basic settings not quite correct , and the dizzy is seized in place.

Will get busy on it in a month or 2

Just found a new person who is doing bodywork and paint , so have put my other 8v in there for some work , if he does good then i will have friendly bodyshop which can sort out the problems on this one

Finding a good bodyshop is hard work these days

I love the kits too. Tempted to buy another Mk2 (kitted) or even buy one to kit. My drama teacher (fit, 23, leggy) had a BBS kitted 3dr in Pearl white with Treser backflash and taillights and black leather interior back in '89. I loved it/her LOL.

    Like that very unique

There was a guy who used to live down the road from me with a red mk2 full zender bodykit and 2.0 litre engine. Never had the cash when he was selling it , really wish i had bought it now but was a die hard mk1 nut back then , now i have switched to preferring the mk2 ( tho i still have a mk1 tucked away )

Seen that. Beautiful car. Wheels look a tad oversize for my liking but nevertheless. I would rock it.

Sorry, sold it last year its going Racing in the Mk2 Gti Racing Championship !! It had sat in a garage for 10 years collecting dust was only found when the garage roof fell in the owners wife forgot it was there !! There wasn't a mark on the bodywork, it had never seen a shopping trolley.
Good news is I kept the body kit, front grille,Treser panel, full leather interior and the wheels.

Definitely different from the norm, best of luck with it. Could be quite a unique car and I mean that in a good way

As above, votex console etc. Are those switches from a mk3 or something?
