Its definitely like being a kid waiting for Xmas.

Our salesman thinks the Mrs Polo GTI will be here before mine.

    That'll make the wait worse!!

At least she's agreed to let me have a go in it ;)

A review I found today by JC on the MK7 GTI.

Sounds good IMO and I'm glad I went for manual over DSG ;)

Pmsl excellent little graphics there :-) although they could of gone the extra mile and made the car icon Black :-/

I'd be bricking it that when I got to the stealers to collect it that a silver one was sitting there waiting for me :-0

It's funny you said that. When the salesman first put the order through, he actually put reflex silver through as the colour I wanted. Luckily I spotted it, and it was changed ;)

Richard, where did that graffic come from, the order update one. I have an R coming and would love this little graphic. lol good luck with yours, i'm sadly giving up my Ed 30, as my wife insists i get one lol. As a p.s to a post earlier, the Wolfsburg trip is fantastic, my wife treated me to it last March for my birthday, and her and the two boys (8 + 14) came along, she thought she would hate it, but she says it was the best short trip she has ever done....and she's not a car person

    Hey how's things

Have you not been given your order number yet then ? When you do, you can track it here -

Nice one on getting the R. I would of loved one, but the GTI done it for me :)

Cheers for the heads up on the Wolfsburg trip, it does sound awesome

Luckily the Mrs loves VW's too ( she's got a 2014 Polo GTI on the way ), so I'm sure I could convince her to go. It definitely on my to do list this year.

    I can't wait till it arrives. [:D]

i was seriously looking at the GTi, especially after seeing them in Germany last year. BUT i have a wife who cracks the best bargaining deals ever when it comes to cars. Ive had my Ed30 from new (08) there were no deals offered when they came out, beleive me we tried, but she got me 1800 off plus xenons!! she as an Eos individual, 2k off, full mats, the fitted EOS matching luggage and a full tank off fuel....the R coming, quite loaded up, comes in at 30k, last weekend we saw an R cabriolet for her, 15 miles on it, when we 1st looked for her spec it was as close to 40k as you can get, VW dropped the price a bit, at a dealer we saw this one with all her bits on for 34, she got it down to 29,500 plus they would through in the 500 insurance deal that gives you 100% money back if its written off...... She's also looking at a Polo, not GTi but the clever BlueGt, theres one coming into the country, again speced for her, down from 22k to 19,200 for her....trying to decide, cab or Polo, again Wolfsburg well worth a go

She knows how to nogtiate

We managed to get a few things chucked in with money off. The Mrs even got 12 months free car insurance which was great.

Haven't seen the cabriolet R yet. Hopefully there is one in the showroom I can have a look at.

Look forward to seeing some updates of your R [:D]
