Got mine via a contact from a VW team in Finland. It was brand new in kit form so we had to put it together. Got box, pair of shafts, pair of hubs, exhaust manifold and a few other bits, all new for about 5k. 6000 euros is cheap, get it bought, they are about 15k new!
They are a really nice bit of kit, bellhousing is standard VW pattern but is part of main casting so does not come off. Mountings are all there to use standard positions. Diff is a pull out cassette type for easy changing and sits behind engine to give equal length shafts. Quality wise, my box man reckons they are a bit nicer than Hewland, very similar to Hollinger.
The small block (Polo type) box will not fit a big block (Golf gti type) engine, so make sure you source the right one. There are a lot more big ones around.

    I've just downloaded 2003 - 2005, going through them with a beer.

Third one down on the 2005 - with the dog yapping - is a classic

Is that the one that has car action, then peace and quiet, then car action.. etc?

Good vids, I'd love to go and see a round of that !

6th one, 2005 - Fiat 127 and Fiat 124 sounding the bees knees. Where else does that happen??

These cars are so good, it's unreal.

Anyone for a trip to see a 'nearby' round next year?

Be worth looking into it methinks.

Wonder if they do anything not too distant from the 'ring? Be just the job to get away from the Sunday crowds at the 'ring :p

Finnish job was kind of a closing down sale about two years ago i'm afraid.

I think it is ESSENTIAL we go over and take in a round.

I've got the proper videos from 2000-2003. Good for inspiration when I feel like taking a big hammer to my pile of shiney bits!

Next time I watch them i'll see which rounds have the best entries and roads.

    Sounds like a plan:)

Could either try and combine the 'ring trip with this depending on next year's opening hours, or seperate.

Worth looking into - would love to go :p

Yeah, it looked like the entries did vary a bit, depending on location, and it looked like they were in Austria for some of it.

Certainly there's some cars to take in:

Orangey Polo/Audi 50 with large front scoop spoiler (purely for the stylin' )
Red/silver Polo, BBS on bumper corners
Blue Mk1 Golf with double-944 esque rear diffuser
    More Mk1's - can't think [:s]
    The Kadetts x 2
    DTM (esque?) Merc 190
    DTM (esque?) M3

See how we go with dovetailing with the 'Ring. Would happily do a separate trip if not.

jbmg that shifter loks ace. is there one available for mk1 golf do you know? i have seen a few rough ones on ebay. i know that the old vw motorsport mk1's used to use a 50mm ring to move the shifter position up towards the driver from the tunnel. this was to help with the gear selection.

I'm well up for a ring/berg cuptrip next year. Please make it at least next spring, otherwise i'll be going in slow old 8v daily driver[:^(]. I cant think of anything more amusing than generally poncing round germany, any chance of including worthersee in the trip too? Or at least one of the big shows. seems a shame not to, since i certainly cant afford to be going to germany on a regular basis.

Worthersee is miles away from the 'ring , it's a weekend on it's own really, never been myself, but from what others have said, it's massive. :)
