Hi folks, just bought this the other day, came across it by accident and decided i had to have it. Not many pics yet due to the weather being rubbish, but its in fantastic condition and drives really well. http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af181/woodpm/Golf mk2 oettinger/012.jpg Interior is like new as well http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af181/woodpm/Golf mk2 oettinger/010.jpg http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af181/woodpm/Golf mk2 oettinger/014.jpg Its got a Oettinger sticker under the bonnet saying its a 1800 e,which from what i have found out about this company seems to point to it having ported manifolds, but i`m not sure what else. Ive got a Oettinger brocher and price list from 1987 which claims 150bhp for this conversion. If anyone knows anything about these cars it would be great to find out more. I`ll get some more pictures up when it stops raining.
The car shows up as an import on the v5,but is rhd, then a dealer demonstrator for a few months. So did these have to ordered in Germany?
More pictures As promised a few more pics of my mark2. Needs a grille badge. All standard stuff, and i think thats the way it will stay
Nothing to see really, just looks standard guys,as i said i think its had some porting done but i`d like to find out some more, but no fancy manifolds on this one sorry.
I think the solex carb might rule that one out mate,as its a 16v injection engine. heres a couple of pics from the oettinger brocher i have. Reference No oe 000 04100, and seems to have cost DM 11,889,but then this is crossed out and someones hand written 7,950! dont know what either of them were worth back in those days, can anyone help
Hi Mike, no underbonnet pics yet sorry, but everything looks standard.Somebody must have something similar on here.
Just saw this car and can say its a hidden gem..!!! with the right attention to detail it`ll be a very unique and special car..!!!! first dibs on it..lol
