back to the rears how do you mount them in a mk2 just got some surely the back needs to be hinged in the middle and at the sides ! ?
the bits you sit on bolt in normally. the right hand back side clips in normally with the quick release mech. the left hand side back needs to have the pin made about 1 inch longer so that it can click into the quick release mech trust me it goes straight in
I think Paul means at the bottom. There is a bracket for the middle which needs to be turned round and bolted to the floor and there are a pr of brackets which need to be chiseled off the mk3 shell and bolted/welded to your inner arches for the side brackets (i never did either of these on my old car and the seat never fell or twisted, it just sat there solid)
ok cheers ian i shall bolt up the middle bracket and make up some end brackets and weld them in remember safety first
PM to Recardo: PM me your address if you havent got a centre bracket and i'll send you my spare one from the other car. OH YEAH!!! Empty your inbox as well!!!
I have found it, its part number: KYO 1H0 886 187 A and there are to clips to go with it: N 905 490 01 that hold the seats to the bracket.
I've put my mk3 backs on my mk2 bases now, looks cool!!! I'll take a pic in the morning. Mk2 is now my daily driver Edited by: 1990
No one can tell once my fat arse in covering it up I wonder if you could put the mk3 bolsters and cloth onto the mk2 bases??? I have a pr of rainbow trim seats from my old mk2 that i might open up and investigate
i also thought of that but couldnt get the screw off to take them apart....oh well they should be fitted next week anyhow. dont know what to do with the rest of my bonus konig seats or oz turbo's?
i do think 1200 is a lot for some 7.5 15 inch wheels. but you dont see many of them. what trouble you had with yours damo?
