Exactly the people left are the poorest sectors of new orleans population, they`ve had a poor education and were living on the breadline as it was. I suppose some people when they have nothing will grasp at control over anything, even if it is a ruined city street. The fact they are costing lives with their futile actions doesn`t seem to have crossed their minds though.
So because they are poor, that excuses this disgusting behaviour ? Bullsh*t. Poor has nothing to do with it. Its just a lack of personal control and a total absence of respect for other people.
TBH they are to busy trying to win a war which IMHO will never happen start spending money on the places that need to for one not buying guns and tanks, buy supplys
I dont care. There are nations around the world where people suffer hardship ten times worse. And they dont behave like that. Perhaps its down to the fact that they are reliant upon the state for so much. Perhaps its just that they are sh*tty human beings. Personally I`ll go with the second option. I`v just been reading on an American website that `Dubya`Bush cut the Army Corps of Engineers budget for 3 years in a row in the New Orleans area yet they can afford to spend $5 billion per month (according to another Us website) in Iraq securring the world 3rd largest oil deposits...mmmm funny that.
I had always wanted to go to New Orleans as it looked like a pretty cool place. Guess it's off the list now. [:^(] There were quite a few warnings of crime when I looked into it - Guess the crims took over for a while.
Den, you have totally missed the point! The fact is that these people have been part of one of Americas worst natural disasters and many have been left homeless, without an asset to their name. You cannot compare this to poverty struck nations because people who live in poverty know nothing else. That is the difference. If someone were to bulldozer down your house, take away your red mk2 and leave you homeless in just your y-fronts and glasses, in the middle of nowhere, would you just sit there and be satisfied, or would you like your life back?!

Nations that are entirely poor seem to behave much better than those with a mix of rich and poor. State benefits promote laziness and lawlessness. That's why communism doesn't work.
Half the reason they`re doing it is because so many black youths are imprisoned. Minor drug offenders just thrown away for a few years (usually 5-7 years), just for selling some weed to friends. These people are beyond caring, they`ve become instict driven. America as a society should shoulder the blame of driving these people back to urban primitivism. This is not an overnight thing, these people have been collectively spat on for centuries, then you wonder why some of them are so full of hate they are no longer human.
