That's that theory out the window then . Maybe it's only if you've got air con, or air con and autobox that you have the 4-point? Don't tell me...you've got air con too!
Just had a look on www.ruddies-berlin.de, which seems to be one of the best 2e2 references. It does look at a glance as if generally the autobox cars have 4-point and manuals have 3-point, but then i saw this comment... "nicht alle VW mit Automatikschaltung , hatten eine 4 Punkt Dose ! (Kostengrnde) " Which I reckon may explain it. "Not all VW's with autoboxes had a 4-point unit! (cost grounds)"
