    VR66 - I like the SA80 too.
Mine never jammed, I found it relatively easy to strip, the SUSAT sight is great and I thought the accuracy was pretty good.
A bit flimsy but pretty decent if you looked after it.
Not heard a Barrett go off but I iomagine it's rather loud!

Actually the metadata probably has nothing to do with it. It's probably more to do with me being generally full of sh*te. [:D]

Yeah, I have used the L98 cadet gp alot. The only reason they jam is when numptey cadets dont cock them properly.

Have heard it said that the SA80 family is more accurate than an M16. Has a longer barrel at least.

and now I give you the greatest bolt action rifle ever made......the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield mk3.

It was not quite as accurate as a k98 mauser, but the bolt could be worked faster, so you could put more rounds down range [:D] The British Army worked at 15 rounds a minute during ww1

Only gun cadets get with a SUSAT is an LSW (light support weapon, third gun down), too risky to fit em on an L98GP as they get dropped a lot during drill

Bloody Air Cadets dont get to use the LSW particularly often [:x] [:x] [:x]

If I didnt enjoy the free flying i get, I would have joined the army cadets. But IMHO the ATC rock [:D]
