    oooooohh

Look I`m sure you think your doing the right thing by "sticking up for the troops" but the troops have been manipulated into fighting a war for money and resources. You seem to agree with that but say that the fact they still went shows courage.
I`m saying thats wrong because embarking on a campaign that ended in the deaths of hundreds of thousands even though you know its based on a lie is wrong, it is moral cowardice.
True courage would have been to stand upto tyranny rather than doing whatever your commander said.

Maybe they didnt want to ?

In fact, I know many people in the Army.

    All are serving by choice.

    None have been brainwashed.

Azrael, its pointless you continuing as you have no experience of the military and as such arent in a position to judge those serving in it.

Get of that moral, philanthropic high ground and admit you dont know what the hell you are talking about in relation to the armed forces.

Or are we to believe you are an expert in this field, despite your total lack of any practical experience ?

    :)

You don`t need to be an expert in the military to have an opinion on war.

Take that guy albert, he had a mindset we need to see more of...

"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, scince for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despiceable an ignoreable war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." - Albert

    Ooooh, look you can quote.

And hes well known ... so he must be right.

Tell me, do you have any opinions you managed to form yourself ?

    I doubt it.

And your `opinion` isnt on war. You are judging British troops.

And yes, to do that you do need some experience.

    Which you dont have.

Golden, I merely suggested that you were both taking this too seriously. Laughably seriously, oxymoronically. :)

Its a source of never-ending amusement watching people vent their spleen on t'internet.

    Life is too short. [xx(]

fodder....where have I heard that word before?

No den I can`t think for myself, so heres another albert quote,

"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."

    I like quotes!

thing is azrael, although den may(or not!) be jesting, your radical ramblings have resulted in this being the majority opinion of you, and not in jest...
Do you really want tobe thought of like this on here? You have a vw yes, so when you want technical advice, do you think everyone will be willing to help?
Maybe a time for discretion draws near....
