Graham - possible although running that old bora between races is a bit risky - fragile old girl she is. I was out at donny the other day giving her a run down - got a set of ohlins on it as we need to go round corners faster - car will do it - its the pussy driving it who needs a rocket!! I'll need to remap it to 300 bhp to get a sniff of that old exige bus i expect !! perhaps towards end of year. We should get out cause we always have a laugh - miss the trackdays although they got a bit boring - we kept getting rollockings for having tear ups. Hi all, I've just noticed this thread. it was a sad day all round to see steve's car in such a state. I remember almost reading the print off the page when it first appeared in pvw mag, & seeing it in the flesh at gti inters, Awesome. after steve broke the car up, i bought a few goodies off him, which are going onto my mk1 track toy, so i hope to get to a couple of trackdays this year & put some faces to your names ( god knows i've listened to all your ranting ). cheers Allan
yeah steve could have put it back together, but what you dont see is the shape of the car in the pictures, it was shaped like a banana, easyest way would have been to reshell it. not just a matter of a few new pannals,
I fell in love with this car at GTI International 2002 at Swindon. Just a few months later, it met its end. Im sure i have some pics of it from its heyday as well somewhere. I'll try and find them.
i remember this just had a look for the magazine but must have bin it back in 2008 have some of the pictures of it on my hard drive though
