I get the head back next Tuesday all going well.. will take some
    pics.

I'll need to get it set-up properly again via Stealth.. 150hp was
the last result and thats totally standard!?!

I've managed to keep her as original as possible so far, except
for a cd player and new components.. just gonna clean as
much as I can in the engine bay before the new head goes on.
Might get an uprated exhaust when I can find a tailpipe design I
    like.. thats it though!

    Spring makeover

Should see 10% gain with a flowed head, more with cams. [:D]

    coool [:D]

I don't think my budget will stretch to a new set of cams this time
around. I've heard the o/e KR cams are hard to beat though??

    Any recommendations GVK?

Schricks are the daddies but they come at a price and the 16v cars I've seen them fitted to the lower end of the rev range can suffer, especially on an 1800 block

Have a look on my site at the *J485 GVK Tune up* page lots of dyno plots of 16v cars in different guises there. You'll see that Ian'Bs car with Schrick 268/276 gives good torque as mine on the KR cams (bear in mind we're talking 2 litre blocks)

KeithMac's got some Kent 1602Rs in his 1800 and gained 10bhp on a standard head.

No not used them, but did you know that there is a group buy going on at the moment for flowed heads? Check out the group buy forum if you havent already done so.

What is this - revive a dead thread day?

Looks like nice work. Not cheap though, compared to some of the alternatives *ahem*... does that include guides and stem seal replacement?
