Flywheels aren't specifically G60 or Passat or whatever, they are 02A etc So passat items will work just the same as MK3 16v or G60 etc Edited by: Andy947
maybe my rattle is as much release bearing as it is input shaft. better now with Spec clutch than Helix.. Go figure
Just came across this thread. If you're after a good upgrade for clutch and flywheel i can recommend the ecs stage 1 kit. i ordered it from the states and it was a lot cheaper than anything else i could find. The flywheel only weighs 14lbs and the clutch was a sachs performance VR6/g60 clutch. I would definitely recommend getting a lighter flywheel if you're changing the clutch - it makes a big difference to the way the car drives.
Is there an "ideal weight" for a flywheel for a 1.8T in a Mk2 - used on the road as a daily driver? Hope this isn't going off topic!
looked on ETKA and the part number for the G60 flywheel is the same for loads of models, engine codes like 1H, AAC, ABF, 1Z, AHU, ALE, PD. and a few more. same flywheels is fitted to Golfs, Jettas, Transporters, Passats, Santanas, Corrados etc (dependant on year)
