Great to meet you yesterday and have a chat about the car. Congratulations on the win very much deserved!
Finally got to see this in the flesh yesterday and was blown away by the level of finish, congrats on getting the recognition it deserves
I'll be honest i never bothered to read this thread before due to the size of it, which is really annoying because this is my favourite Mk2 and i didn't realise this was the project thread for it Absolutely stunning and a real source of inspiration for my own Tornado Mk2 Big-Bumper! I'm sure you have millions of photo's from Sunday but have another anyway:
congratulations for last sundays win mate your car looked absolutly amazing in that hall, you so deserve it for the amount of hard graft you have put into this car hope theres more wins to come for you
Been a little quiet on this one for a bit, got her out of hibernation at the end of May and trekked over to Weston Park for Dubs Mania (great show for those who havn't been), but unfortunatly the weather had other ideas. We were rained on from about 8pm Saturday evening all the way through to packing up on Sunday afternoon!! Picked up one of their lovely glass trophies so more smiles all round. One week to go to Inters so the prep is about to start all over again, I love this week before the show, Can't believe the car has been finished two years and this is the third Inters for her. We'll be in the camp from friday afternoon so see you all there. Philip
You would usually be correct LOL... but the weekend out at Dubs Mania was a wash out and had to drive 100miles home in the tipping rain with mucho road shizzle getting everywhere, had to clean the lips on the LMs as soon as I got back to the unit, Its a full prep job i'm afraid to say.... And have you seen the long term weather for Inters
Well we've just about recovered from our Inters weekend, it seems to get a little harder to get over each year LOL... No pics this year just a big thank you to all who help with the car over the weekend, we got the Runners-up rosette on Sunday which is an amazing result and I'm really pleased... As most of you now know there was an incident at the Inters sprint this year and I would like to send all of our thoughts to the people involved and their families, we really do wish them a speedy recovery.
Just back from BVF at Malvern, haven't been since 93!! Was really good weather and a very relaxed atmosphere,Lis and I had an awesome time... Won Best Golf in the custom concours, got 105 out of 120 points, well chuffed again.
Hey Pab. Did you get a chance to walk round the trade area this year ? We couldn't make it due to family commitments (terrible as I actaully live in Malvern) but I was wondering how the trade area looked (busy / quiet). Cheers. Noel
There were lots of tat stalls and a strong feeling of autojumble. Lack of genuine traders really, not got much previous BVF experience to compare it with as the last time I went was 1993...
Cheers Gurds, Still keeps me smiling, are you out to Curby in Sept? just need to make time to get this Rado of mine finished now.
You should take this out on track some time Phil, shame not to use it in anger! Curby seems pretty low risk.
