AS above but not to sure about it what is the insurance likly to be on a vr compared to a gti aslo fuel consumption r they much quicker than a gti in standard form what do they handle like with the extra wieght been told there bit like a boat but i have never drove 1 so wouldnt know any think i need to look out for if i do go to look at some??? cheers lee
I got quoted 300 FC for a MK3 8v, 370 FC for a Mk3 16v and 430 for a VR6 FC. 9 years NC, FY3 postcode (Blackpool is apparently a blackspot! Nice one!)
If you're worried about fuel costs then don't bother. 250miles to a tank which is about 23mpg give or take the odd heavy right foot
i can quite happy deal with 250 miles on a full tank thats about wat i get from my 8v well well maybe 290 at the most but r they quick ???
Iloved my VR, i couldnt give two f**ks how many miles to the gallon it done, as soon as the revs rise and that six pot starts singing fuel consumption goes out the window, i buy cars because i enjoy driving, not cos im worried about mpg, and thats why im im in the process of VR'ing my mk2!!! Just do it, you will only ever wonder what it would be like if you never
Go out and test drive one, it's that simple. I drove one and decided it was definitely the engine for my mk2.
yes they are quick before someone comes on here saying they aint, i've got one and if im honest i wish i had got it earlier if you know anybody with one then try it goodl uck
mmm sounds good me mum has a 2.6 v6 audi that sounds mint but bein an auto dont think u can really get the power out of it so ill av to find 1 for sale localy and try it lol need to sell me 8v first tho and me escort cab
if you think you cant get power out of an auto i'd say go and have a go of it tell mercs that auto's aint for powerful engines
i have drove her car but does seem abit slow well not slow but its not a manual if u know wat im mean but i have aways loved the sound of the 5 -6 pot audi engines prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol
thats what i thought but unless he has posted a mk3 pic instead then this is def a mk3 it says 1999 mk golf vr6 it on ebay
better to get a vr6 then a 2. slow talking MK4's 2000 vr6 (mine) is 173hp and the 1.8t is 150hp while in 03' they upgraded mk4's to 180hp for the turbo's and the VR6 to 200hp 6 speed. Gotta say the VR6 is just the better breed , put a performance exhaust on their and you'll hear the most beautiful sound you ever heard that puts hondas in their place About weight, its better u have it for a front wheel drive so u can actually grip the ground better with the extra power u get and it is not that much more weight because of the design of the motor compaired to a v6 its lighter
yup def a mk3 oak whats happening with road tax on a vr6 these days told they were goin to sting high engine cars i def goner go for a vr just need to check my insurance which i dout will be a prob and sell my 2 cars lol
the ebay t reg vr6 is not a 99 model, it has all pre 95 body trim ie wheel arch trims black bumpers not body colour they stopped at r reg was the lastest
