    I got quoted 300 FC for a MK3 8v, 370 FC for a Mk3 16v and 430 for a VR6 FC.

9 years NC, FY3 postcode (Blackpool is apparently a blackspot! Nice one!)

If you're worried about fuel costs then don't bother. 250miles to a tank which is about 23mpg give or take the odd heavy right foot

Iloved my VR, i couldnt give two f**ks how many miles to the gallon it done, as soon as the revs rise and that six pot starts singing fuel consumption goes out the window, i buy cars because i enjoy driving, not cos im worried about mpg, and thats why im im in the process of VR'ing my mk2!!!

Just do it, you will only ever wonder what it would be like if you never

Go out and test drive one, it's that simple. I drove one and decided it was definitely the engine for my mk2.

    better to get a vr6 then a 2. slow [:D] talking MK4's 2000 vr6 (mine) is 173hp and the 1.8t is 150hp while in 03' they upgraded mk4's to 180hp for the turbo's and the VR6 to 200hp 6 speed.

Gotta say the VR6 is just the better breed [:D] , put a performance exhaust on their and you'll hear the most beautiful sound you ever heard that puts hondas in their place [:D]

About weight, its better u have it for a front wheel drive so u can actually grip the ground better with the extra power u get [:D] and it is not that much more weight because of the design of the motor compaired to a v6 its lighter
