The works Lancia Delta's had a perspex strip that ran across the bottom 3" of the screen with a slight gap for the air to leak through. It seemed to give a good flow across the whole screen and you can duct into it in one place.

can you not use one of these, and then draw air from the exhaust manifold, means you can ditch the heater box!!

You could, & nice thinking but how would you avoid engine bay fumes?

The WRC Focuses must have heated screens, plus that fan.

I used to use an inline blower mounted under the dash then a pipe run off that to a blanked off panel where the old heater inlet used to be.

Pics from Swerves Monza Blue track car that we are working on, he wanted to loose the dash but keep the heater blowing on the screen so my dad came up with this:

I was on the Locost forum the other day and one chap had solved the de-mister issue with two 12v 160w(IIRC) hair dryers feeding some distribution vents (similar to above parts).

Looked like quite an elegant solution to me, I'll try an find the link for you

EDIT: What about a heated screen? http://www.heatedwindscreen.com/acatalog/vw-heated-windscreens.html

    Cheers

Wouldn't they overheat with prolonged use?

The heated screen or the hair dryers?

The hair dryers - Probably, I can't imagine they are very high quality, depends what you call "prolonged" I guess

The heated screen - No, not in my experience

    Cheers

Excellent - pukka factory built Clio Cup by the looks.

Bilge blower in the footwell and presumably a heated screen to finish?

It certainly looks that way Chris, although specs on the advert are thin on the ground. You basically assume full factory spec Clio Cup car.
