Just a bump with ideas on this thread. I've yet to tackle mine as the car's been usable, but I'm just looking around the topic again. A proper flocked dash is backing up behind getting this plan sorted!

Anyway, Seat Leon Supercopa 1 seen at Combe in June.

This'll be original Seat Sport Spain.

    The Bilge blower evident again:

    ..but heated screen no doubt?

The Hot Rod community has lots of solutions in this space.

Take a look at some of the generic heater box options here for ideas.

Lot of off the shelf defrost ducts too.

The clio cup cars don't have a heated screen. Just a blower as pictured. So guess that must be good enough...?

EDIT: Sorry, they DO have a heated windscreen! So that and a fan must work well.

A continuation of the topic, with a further iteration. I am sure someone earlier in the summer suggested combining the bilge pump with a heater matrix.

Today, I saw just that in effect - on an M-Sport prepared Fiesta R5 (1.6 turbo 4WD):

Ducting tube from the bilge blower into a small Mocal matrix, with a couple of composite housings either side to enclose it (I'm sure these are available off-shelf):

The matrix is just bolted onto the tunnel:

Not the greatest pic, but post-matrix, the usual bespoke ducting up to the underside of the eggshell dash:

Pro job. Takes away any need for a heated screen. Food for thought indeed

'ow much for one of those? I love it! Looking for solutions to the same thing myself , for the rally car. Re ducting , motorhomes use flexible corrugated ducting , and have no end to the types of moulded plastic vents that can connect to it .

Yeah, I bought one of their smallest ones a couple of years ago.... still need to plumb it into the original dash ducting....
It is very neatly finished, and seems good quality. Lots of other options on their website.

Not sure yet! i think the volume of air would be fine.... so it would come down to the heat output, to give it a helping hand.
It says it is 2.2kw, so should get fairly warm.

Keeping the inside of the car dry is key, so don't walk around in the rain in your racesuit, dry your feet as you get in the car (good practice anyway), keep all the door seals and don't drill holes in the plastic windows for ventilation!
