Mine made 170lbft @ 6K on schrick 276's and TB's at my local rollers. I've never been to Stealth though - but cupranet are going in Jan I believe so we'll see then.

Rob, what are you running to get those levels of torque?

I think that the 42mm inlet would be better for my car as it is 95% a road car and its really the low end torque that it needs more of.
How can I tell what manifold the car has on it now? Its a 1990 spec

    Yeah, but a 2.1 is cheating Martin ;) [:D]

I guess that if a 2.1 is cheating then a turbo would also come under that heading ;)

Running an ABF block with a 95.5mm stroke diesel crank. Lightened and balanced flywheel/crank. Sachs clutch, standard pistons machined to 0 deck height. Ported flowed head and, as for cams.....that'll be a secret ;)

HAHAHA lol, I haven't even finished building it yet :p . I have the crank in, and plasti-gauged the journals to make sure its all within tolerance. Next is the pistons. My mate has my ring compressor so that will be picked up tomorrow. Everything else is basically ready. New oil pump, crank seals, block breather(didn't come with the block :( ) oil filter housing(neither did this and they are expensive!) sump and gasket.
A quick box rebuild while its out( have a pair of synchros ready to go in and a set of diff bolts) and a little bit more fiddling with the head and I'm ready to go. I'm hoping one of the lads in work will make me a baffled sump for a favour he owes me too.
It was on the rollers..sort of. It was in position but the wheels weren't full sitting on the roller as it was too low. ;)
Then I'll probably sell it! [:s]

I got 136lbs of torque on my old valver on 42mm. The car also had a flowed AMD head.

It was measured on their rollers.
AMD always said the 42 mm gave slightly better low/mid range torque characteristics.

    Depends what you want.
The 2 litre with a 50mm inlet fills in the torque graphs nicely.
I got recommended thje 268/276 combo from Bill. Apparently in the States they done many tests with different duration/makes of cams and they reckoned for ALL round ability the Schrick split combo gave good results.
Personally my car pulls cleanly from low down and is still very toqy in the mid rangw whilst still retaining a screaming top end. I get a serious surge between 5800-6200.

I will try and get to Stealth in Jan.

The power is nice if you have a good torque spread.
I hate the cars that are flat to 5000rpm then all of sudden power to infinity and beyond.

GVK I think has good torque but if the torque continues high up the range you will benefit all round.

    The choice is yours.
