The subject for this month's competition is Abstract, chosen by Stu. There are some interesting interpretations of the subject - please vote for the one you feel is best. (No voting for your own picture!)

(I think I have included everyone's photographs; if not, please let me know ASAP.)

Well, number 6 turns out to be the winner, but as I'm on my laptop and not my working PC, I don't know who took it. I think it might be StuMc again, so congratulations!

I'll sort it out properly when I get back tomorrow.

I was just about to have a go at you, saying the poll doesn't close until the end of the month. Then I realised that was yesterday. [:$]

For the record my vote would have gone to #1.

    Great photo that.

I liked them all, but I think that is the most abstract.

(If I understand what that is!) [:$]

I thought 2 was the only abstract photo, because it's not clear what the object is. Although i guess that could apply to 1 for a lot of people, 7 too maybe.

I know what #2 is. It's about 10 feet away from me now. ;)

    Though I still can't see what #1 is. [:s]

It was only this evening that I figured out what #6 is, I kept thinking it was a pavement through a leaded window. [:$]

I googled 'Abstract Photography' and, got the impression, from what I read, that it is:

The image of, the juxtaposition of, the man-made, with the natural! ie. The contrast between the two. Very different from abstract art which, to my mind, is an 'abstracted' rendition of the artist's personnal 'mind' picture of the subect. [:-B]

    Obviously I was mistaken.[8(]

I voted for #4, and then thought, I should have voted for #6![:s]
