VW Lupo?

    Its the same engine from the polo isnt it? So maybe ask on the polo forum?

    Though they aren't very helpful i have heard......this site is 10000000000000000,00000000000 time better

    Sounds a cool buy

    Also be wary of blocked crankcase ventilation systems in cold weather, (causes all the oil to be pushed out of the dipstick tube!) this and the pedal box issues mentioned are a couple of the known issues with the smaller engine variants of the lupo/arosa and 6n2 polo. We experienced the CCV blockage issue and just caught it before the oil got to critical low level. Perhaps worth taking it off the back of the block and flushing it out with petrol as a precaution.

    Not sure if it is the polo engine, its the 1.4 8v mpi (same as skoda?) About the CCV that is interesting, where would I clean it from (excuse my ignorance) how would I get to the crank case valve to clean it?

    Gearboxes are a weak point on the 1.4 petrol too
