IF you had the ability or infinite funds to build your dream VW....what would the brief spec of it be?

Do a photochop of it if you can.

    ooh, choices choices...

On this planet, and in this lifetime?

    A twin G40 turbo engined Mk1 Derby.

    In cloud cuckoo land,

Our current derby built on an unlimited budget ie.

    space frame, composite panels,
    ultra high spec 2.0 16vt making 4-500bhp,
should be possible to get the weight down to 500kg - quarters in the 9s

    Mk1 Scirocco Storm Shell.

Stripped to the metal and zinc galvanised with all rot being dug out and replaced before being resprayed in a flat black with candy purple flip.

Full Audi TT running gear, including full quattro drivetrain.

Engine bay detailed and smoothed with all looms hidden. Scuttle removed, custom located engine management inside the driver cockpit.

TT dash, if i could get it to fit with full Audi loom wired throughout the car.

    Leda coilovers.

    9x15 BBS RS Split Rims.

Wilwood 4 pots or similar to enable me to keep 15" wheels on 280mm ish discs.

Interior is undecided, but would probably consist of a custom deep pile carpet, Electric Leather Recaros of some kind (maybe TT seats).

Reality - VR6 3.2 haldex, DSG in my silver mk2 shell with diesel badges, steels and small bumpers and 7 slat grille ;)

Cloud cuckoo land - Gold Santana or '80/'90 passat estate, large hemi, turbos stuck out through the bonnet, open headers running out the front wings, a gearbox capable of holding it all in, rear drive with locking diff, line locks, slicks and maybe an 8track player and some gold velour.

damn my idea sounds less impressive now. I was going to say R32 twin turbo engined 4x4 corrado!

Would be easier to achieve though wouldnt it? In fact I'm surprised it hasnt been done yet... [:D]

Oh, and silly as it sounds, I'd want it to be stuffed full of gadgets, have a reasonable ICE system made out of top quality components (one 10" sub does fine for me) leather, air con, etc.

xenon headlights would be nice. While I'm on the exterior, lets have it in pearl white, and the body mostly standard with a few subtle changes like A4 handles.

bring it down to a sensible ride height (ie not so low it cant be driven) on proper remote reservoir coilovers, and run 16 or 17" porsche cup wheels. Paint them black/anthracite.

finished off with porsche brakes to go with the wheels.
