VW Action 21st – 23rd August 2015

For those of you unfamiliar with the show it’s at the excellent Santa Pod 21st to 23rd August and, for the first time in a while, it won’t clash with e38.
The mood is unlike a majority of other shows and is a fantastic mix of air and water cooled so there’s something there for everyone.

I normally sort club camping for a local club and the Rocco register so you can jump in with us (there’s normally 10-15 cars) or I can set up a separate designated club camping area but that would need ten plus cars and I need names confirmed by the time I book in July.

The second part is this: I’d really like for there to be a proper cgti presence at the show and shine. The Saturday is the daily driver and it’s an incredibly relaxed affair, judging is based of effort and love for the car rather than how much you spent or what engine you’re running. I’m happy to speak to the organisers to see if we can have our own space (again, I’d need confirmed people) or, more likely, be on hand on he Saturday to make sure we all park together in the paddock. It’d be a prime opportunity to raise awareness.

The Sunday is the more hardcore concourse but, to be honest, I’ll be dying on my hoop from the Saturday night. I’ll organise something if there’s a call but some other monkey will need to be the point of contact.

Stick your names below and just let me know whether you’ll be racing or you fancy doing the show and shine. It doesn’t need to be a gleaming show car, it just needs to be loved. And please let me know how many cars you’re bringing so I can get an idea of the space we’ll need. The campsite is a really friendly place, just pitch up and get stuck in.

(Thanks to Rich for the blurb)

VW Action is the longest running VW Show in the world, and has in one form or another been the true ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of UK VW events, from its early days at Stoneleigh, the NAS Stoneleigh shows, the period of its residency at Peterborough, at Herts County Showground, and now at Santa Pod. The last few years at ‘The Pod’ have produced quite exceptional shows, and 2014’s event raised the bar yet again. The ‘Zombie Fright Night’ theme, complete with ‘West End’ big budget stage set that converted the marquee into ‘Jensen’s Cemetary’ was embraced by all and the show received critical acclaim from all who attended.

FREE Autojumble plots, Traders, Charity Auction, top DJs and live bands, FREE CAMPING with weekend tickets and loads, loads more.

VW Action is about the cars. Action is one of few shows which is truly about everything Volkswagen, and the event welcomes the arrival of every VAG vehicle with equal enthusiasm. Early and late Vans and Buses, ‘Old’ and New Beetles, Golfs, Polos, and every other representative of the water cooled range, street cars, show cars and race cars – VW Action really is the best place for a true VW enthusiast on the weekend of 21st to 23rd August 2015.
