1 sec a lap is night and day. Unfortunately I just cant get that to work without changing bodywork and not prepared to do that right now, cant put back completition any longer. Mike, away to send pm...
Can't argue with the stopwatch. but managed to reduce the wheelspin on my rally pulsar with suspension changes
Just to keep thread updated, I have gone for Avons in a 205 section on the front, medium compound (for saloon) and soft 190 rears. Should have them by this time next week. Not ideal solution but as Mike says, want to get back on track then will work on a solution later
Nice read here guys, and lots of great info. I am now in a quandary with my mk1 abiet a lot less power and the VAG trophy. Do i run slicks or stay on r888's? Class A allows slicks, but it would mean new spring rates, not a problem really and then should I run slicks all around or rear 888's? As the races are 15 min, as I found at thruxton, would getting on the pace and pulling out a gap be better on warm TD tyres than cold slicks? I run 15" rims and would prob try staying with these. I did read in this weeks Motorsport news that the new fiesta junior series is running on 15" slicks, so that could provide a good sh source?
888's are really poor tyres, no good for racing! Avoid.... Use the Fiesta junior series slicks, perfect!
