    Team Smokey Joe's

In line with chris' comments: N/A is so much more special when done right, its more reliable and better on fuel too (if you care about that sort of thing)

K-swapped corrado... now that would be AMAZING

Also with dyno figures meaning dick all I though I would post some FWD N/A 0-60 numbers from my datalogger:

The road was dead flat and dry, 8 degress outside, running falken 452's with 10k miles on them (3mm tread left).

    start

    finish

    5.1 seconds

Re: Honda, won't be the same, the whole ethos of the car was a screaming vtec, fantastic engines even if the cars are my thing. Another great engine bites the dust because of emissions crap! It joins Ford's 2.0 turbo Cosworth engine and Rover's V8 [:^(]

    True that...

Dont worry though, Honda will be replacing the K20 with a k24z7: a 2.4L four pot that puts out just 5 more hp than the 2L, and revs to a staggering 7600rpm... A revised turbo diesel... and of course a 1.5L petrol hybrid

    Exciting times ahead.

  7. K24 lumps have been about for ages.

Most Honda heads use the k24 bottom end & the k20 head for big hp.

The z7 is a new design, it has the exhaust manifold and cat assembly cast into the cylinder head. Which is crap.

You can bolt up a k24a2/a3 short motor to the k20 vtec head for a 'frankenstein' that has both good torque and power (i'm saving my pennies for such a motor)
